The prime minister, who is leading the campaign, said in a tweet, “I sent my #Sandesh2Soldiers. You could also do the same. Your wishes will certainly make our forces very happy. The campaign started on October 25 will run till Diwali, October 30.

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif, in his video message, requested people to offer Army jawans their seat while trevelling in bus or train. Union minister Prakash Javadekar said the country will always be grateful to our soldiers.

We all Hindustani feel proud to our Jawans. I wish a very happy and prosperous Diwali to all Indian soldiers as well as their families who sacrifice not less than the soldiers on front to discharge their duties. At the same time I proud on our PM who is combination of bold mentality, decision maker, believe in team work, innovative, diplomatically sound, hard work, inspire other people. At last I want to say that we all Indians are with our soldiers and government with our full support regarding our countries dignity and security.
