Madhavan in a traditional Manish Malhotra outfit has set women on the Internet into a tizzy

This is not the first time R Madhavan's photos on social media have set hearts racing, but interestingly while male actors have often been adored for looking good online, their female counterparts have been subjected to slut shaming, body shaming and a lot of negativity online.

R Madhavan might not be as frequent on the big screen these days, but boy, is the man ruling the roost on the Internet! In case you are among the handful who haven’t realised where this is heading, then you should start by knowing that Madhavan has aged gracefully, just like fine wine. While a couple of months ago he had women on the Internet losing their minds after seeing his shirtless, straight-out of the-shower picture, this time, he is in a Manish Malhotra sherwani and a lot of his women followers are back to square one β€” crushing hard over the man, yet again!

Dressed in a royal blue number, Madhavan – like a lot of us who are relatively active on social media – uploaded a picture on his Instagram account. That’s where the storm started and going by the looks of it, it is going to take a while for his fans to stop gushing. Here is how fans are going gaga over the actor’s latest Instagram upload. (Warning: Look out for hyperboles.)

And by the looks of it, the 3 Idiots actor seemed to be taking kindly to the compliments.

While there is nothing wrong in appreciating someone who looks this good, here’s an ‘interesting’ fact from the online space β€” while the likes of Madhavan and Rahul Khanna have managed to garner likes and endless compliments for their uploads, female actors have often been subjected to slut shaming, body shaming and a lot of negativity online. This is not to say that questions haven’t been raised on the objectification of men either, but the stark difference in the kind of comments that come across online gives much food for thought, don’t you think?
