When Lalu Prasad Yadav compared Narendra Modi to Uncle Podger When Lalu Prasad Yadav compared Narendra Modi to Uncle Podger

It came as a surprise to many this morning when Rashtirya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav made a reference to Uncle Podger’s character in English writer Jerome K. Jerome’s ‘Three Men in a Boat’ while talking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to Yadav, the PM reminds him of Uncle Podger who takes on more responsibility than he can deliver and ends up creating a mess.

In a series of tweets, that come in the light of demonetisation, Yadav wrote that Modi is like Uncle Podger who “over promises but under delivers”. He also said that Modi is troubling everyone including ministry, government, public, BJP, and farmers. “Like Uncle Podger, Modiji boasts he needs no one,bt soon employs evryone, creates mess, blames all-Picture out of frame &himself out of scene,” he wrote.

Comparing the two, he said that Modi believes there’s no one better than him or knows more than him; he is the man who starts something and blames it on others when things go wrong.

His tweets are being shared by people on social media and not only are people talking about the comparison, many are surprised that Yadav made such a reference. “Never thought I would see the day that Lalu Prasad makes a Jerome K Jerome reference. To be clear, I don’t doubt that the Jerome reference is Lalu Prasad’s own. And it’s accurate. Just love that he made it.” wrote a user. Some, however, doubted that it was his own idea because well, ‘Uncle Podger hangs in a picture’ is not a poem. “Of course it’s not his own. Which is why he mistook it for a poem :p But an unnervingly accurate analogy nonetheless,” wrote another user.

This man is Podger of Bihar, if there is any comparison. He looted the state, as CM and IRs as minister with every limb he could move. Nation does not need their advice or comments about others . He needs company of like minded people.
