In what can be called the aftermath of Uri attack, a NDTV journalist Namrata Brar was asked to leave the press conference Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry in New York. “Iss Indian ko nikalo (remove this Indian),” were the exact words used for her, she claims in a tweet.

“Told “Indian ko nikalo” at #Pakistan press con #UNGA #UriAttacks. Not surprised, we would probably do the same,” she tweeted.

Reportedly, not a single Indian was allowed to attend the briefing that was organised on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The press briefing was organised by Pakistan.

As soon as the news broke on social media, ‘Is Indian Ko Nikalo’ started trending on Twitter and while some are angry at the behaviour handed out to the Indian journalist, many are mocking the situation. “Pakistani Official Said “Iss Indian Ko Nikalo” to NDTV Journalist. UNESCO Has Declared It As Sarcasm Of The Year,” said a Twitter user.

During the attack, 18 soldiers were killed at an army base in Uri but Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has avoided questions on the same at the UN meet so far.

Here’s what twitterati have to say.
