Many got a jolt-out-of-the-blue when prime minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetisation move. People suddenly found the Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes they had invalid, and have been standing in long queues in front of ATMs and banks for the new currency notes since last Friday. Amidst all that, many politicians and popular figures have called Modi out for the improper execution of his decision. One of the earliest to react to his move was West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, whose “WITHDRAW THIS DRACONIAN DECISION” tweet went viral! Now, after seeing the plight of people who are waiting to withdraw money, she has redefined the meaning of ATM and people are loving it!

Leading a march from Parliament House to the Rashtrapati Bhawan, she had called ATMs as ‘Aega Tab Milega’ instead of ‘All Time Money’. For the uninitiated, ATM is correctly expanded to Automated Teller Machine, but people on the social media have absolutely loved her coinage and “sense of humour”.

Her comment comes in the wake of people standing in long queues in front of ATMs and banks waiting to withdraw money, while a lot of these ATMs have been shut or have reportedly stopped working. A number of websites and apps have come up now that help citizens to find a working ATM nearby.
