Ever since business magnate Donald Trump announced his candidature for the US presidential nomination, he has been drawing a lot flak for his public statements — from Harry Potter author JK Rowling to boxer Muhammad Ali, but imagine who just had a shot at him.
Looks like the US national emblem, the bald eagle, doesn’t care much for the businessman either.
TIME magazine has released a footage wherein Trump can be seen being attacked by 27-year-old bald eagle named Uncle Sam during the photo shoot for the Time cover story in August, when he first established himself as a front-running Republican presidential candidate.
The eagle got restless while shooting and started flapping his feathers into his much-mocked hair. “How does my hair look?” he asked, and the crew responded, “not good”.
Later, Uncle Sam unexpectedly attacked Trump when he was sitting next to him.
The idea of a photo shoot with the eagle was Martin Schoeller’s, who thought it would go well with Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again”. But “There’s not much training you can do with a wild bird and Mr. Trump was a little hesitant holding the bird, so it was very tricky to get the bird to [stay] on his hand,” Schoeller told TIME.
Looks like Uncle Sam knew something much before the world woke up to it.
