Possession of marijuana is illegal in Florida, but there is an exception for medicinal marijuana, that too, only with legislative approval. But this high school student from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who goes by the Twitter handle @preznixon showed some gumption when she asked for weed on the open microblogging platform, Twitter.
She tweeted out asking if anyone in Sarasota, a city in south of Florida’s Gulf Coast, had weed, adding the hashtag #Sarasota.
WHOS IN SARASOTA FLORIDA AND HAS WEED #Sarasota

Two days later, the tweet caught the attention of Sarasota Police Department, which responded to the girl’s tweet with a quip: “If you’d like to stop by our HQs, our Narcotics Detectives would be more than happy to talk”.

Clearly, the girl remained unaffected and couldn’t care less because she retweeted the police’s tweet and even retweeted a funny meme on the department.

If you’re wondering about the outcome of this exchange, the girl told Mashable that she couldn’t find any weed. In another quote to Complex, she said that she was “having a bum night and needed a pick me up. I should have just walked down the street to the house full of college boys. Would have been more successful there.”
“It should be legal in every state. It’s not harmful” she added.
Well, that strikes India off the list as well, and preferably so.
Alright guys, my tweet does have a good message. There needs to be more weed in Florida. That shit shouldn’t even be illegal.
