The Late Show host Stephen Colbert has finally explained all the conspiracy theories against the Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, using the real estate moguls own words. Donald Trump has come under a barrage of criticism after he was recently accused by multiple women of walking backstage of a teen beauty pageant he organised in 1997 while some contestants were actually naked. He, obviously, rubbished these accusations of sexual assault as “Lies, lies, no witnesses, no nothing, all big lies”.
“Trump has been fending off attacks like a woman meeting Donald Trump,” starts Colbert, as he begins to mock the Republican presidential candidate. “Okay, lies, all lies,” says Colbert, adding “Was there anyone, anyone at all, backstage at this pageant who could corroborate her story?”
Colbert then cuts to a 2005 audio clip of Donald Trump on The Howard Stern Show, where Trump is heard saying, “I will go backstage before a show and everyone is getting dressed and ready and everything else. And I am allowed to go in because I am the owner of the pageant and therefore I am inspecting it. they’re standing there with no clothes. Is everybody okay? And you see these incredible looking women. And so I sort of get away with things like that”.
To this, Colbert responded, “Look, Look folks, what are you gonna do? It’s a classic case of he said, she said, hell yeah.”
Clearly, it looks like scores of people are taking Trump’s own words and the allegations quite seriously. According to data released by RealClearPolitics, Trump is lagging by 7 points against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. Therefore, he has come up with several of his conspiracy theories to explain why he is not performing well.
Firstly, he alleged that the polls are rigged.
Secondly, he claimed Hillary Clinton used drugs at the debate.
Thirdly, He argued vehemently that there is a global conspiracy working against him.
Amid peals of laughter, Colbert finally drew up a black board where he drew a diagram that explains all his conspiracy theories. And the ending was hilarious!
