Traffic stopped on a road in South Jakarta when a Japanese porn film started playing on the billboard. Reportedly, a 24-year-old IT analyst hacked into the public system and streamed the film.

According to BBC, the man has been arrested after he admitted his crime. Apparently, the video was playing for 5 whole minutes before the authorities realised and stopped it. However, the videos were captured till then and some even made it to social media.

The man claims that he was playing a prank, but the police is still trying to figure out if he is lying. “The suspect claims he worked alone. But we are still investigating whether he was working alone, whether he had a particular motive or whether he was just fooling around,” Jakarta Police Chief Muhammad Iriawan told news agency AFP

And this happens in a nation where porn is strictly prohibited and even websites like Tumblr and Vimeo are banned for their adult content.

The man could be charged under either the Electronic Transaction Law, which carries a maximum prison sentence of six years and a fine of 1 billion rupiah (Rs 510,000 approx) or the Pornography Law, in which he can be sentenced up to 12 years, the police chief told AP.

This is the second incident of a similar nature that has come about this year. The last time it was in India! In August, a porn video suddenly started playing at a traffic intersection in Pune. The picture of a man standing in the middle of the road watching the video went viral, inspiring much online humour.
