Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump came under fire after his conversation with TV host Billy Bush got leaked in which he can be heard making extremely derogatory statements about women. “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Whatever you want,” he said and this was just one among many such. Trump was massively criticised on social media for his comments, especially by women. In fact, one of the Republican activists slammed and quit the Grand Old Party for keeping mum on the issue and in that endorsing his views.
On the other hand, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is holding meets and events and launching initiatives targeting women to get them to vote for her. This was after the tapes were released and other women came forward sharing their experience of Trump making sexual advances at them. “Our campaign is mobilizing women disgusted by Trump to organize their communities and get out the vote for Clinton, either during early voting or on Election Day,” Mini Timmaraju, Clinton campaign’s women’s vote director told CBS News.
Amid the politically charged environment in the US, a Washington DC resident Rebecca Piazza tweeted something that resonated with thousands on social media. Her tweet proves the importance of punctuation in a sentence and how a comma can make all the difference. Here’s what she tweeted that has gone viral on social media with over 14,000 retweets and 28,000 likes.
