Republican nominee Donald Trump’s campaign for US presidential elections has reportedly come up with a unique ad to woo Indians in America. In a video that has gone viral, Trump is seen copying Narendra Modi’s campaign slogan ‘Abki Baar Modi Sarkar’ in order to woo the Indian community to vote for him in the upcoming elections.
The video, the authenticity of which cannot be verified, begins by wishing Hindus ‘Happy Diwali and then ‘shows Trump saying “Ab Ki Baar, Trump Sarkaar”. However, the audio of the portion in the video showing Trump pronouncing the tagline appears out of sync.
Trump had recently praised Hindu community’s “fantastic” contributions to world civilisation and American culture. “The Hindu community has made fantastic contributions to world civilisation and to American culture and we look forward to celebrating our shared values of free enterprise, hard work, family values, and a strong American foreign policy,” Trump said in a statement.
“We love the Hindus and we love India,” the controversial candidate had declared in the meeting on October 16. He said he had ‘big respect’ for Hindus and India-US would be ‘best friends’ if he came to power.
