A horrific video of a daughter-in-law brutally beating his mother-in-law has emerged online. The incident happened in Bijnor, UP, caught on the camera when the son decided to install a CCTV. In the video, the woman can be seen thrashing Rajrani Jain, her sick and helpless 70-year-old mother-in-law first with her bare hands, then a cloth noose and later with a brick.
Activist Kundan Srivastava shared the video on his Facebook page, urging chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to take action against the woman named Sangeeta Jain. The video has since gone viral.[facebook url="http://www.facebook.com/founderkundansrivastava/videos/1197523423594683/" /]
Sangeeta and her husband Sandeep have been married for seven years and have filed for divorce. Srivastava writes that she has charged Sandeep with a fraud dowry and marital rape case. “I installed CCTV to expose her bcoz of her behaviour, but still she did not improve,” the son told ANI.
The video was reportedly captured on January 5, writes Srivastava. “Yet no action was taken by the police because these attack has done by a woman,” he wrote on his post. However, after the video went viral on social media, the police arrested the woman today.
