The beauty, or the ecological importance, of the Western Ghats is often lost to the rest of India. But we have to agree that this is among the greenest spots in India and is a biodiversity hotspot. It is also pivotal for states like Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, given that the climate in these parts is governed by this bump that cuts across peninsular India.
The Wayanad ghat road that connects North Kerala to Mysore and Bangalore has historical and well as significant economic importance. Even those who have taken this tiring, but breathtakingly beautiful drive would have not have got this birds eye views of the nine hairpin bends.
