State-owned BSNL has launched a promotional offer under which prepaid customers get double benefit on four new data Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs). “Four new Data STVs have been launched on festive season on pan India basis with validity of 365 days with double data offer from October 10 to 31 October 2016,” Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) said in a statement.

Under this offer, Rs 1,498 will give 18 GB instead of 9 GB data, Rs 2,798 will give 36 GB instead of 18 GB, Rs 3,998 will give 60 GB data instead of 30 GB and Rs 4,498 will give 80 GB data instead of 40 GB data.

“BSNL is committed to the benefit of its esteemed customers with utmost reliable and cheaper services,” Director (CM) BSNL Board R K Mittal said.

BSNL is also expects to start partnering with virtual network operators (VNOs) and start services by January. A virtual network operator is telecom entity that provides telecom services like Internet and mobile landline as a retailer to big telecom operators like BSNL. VNOs are expected to bring down cost offering telecom services for BSNL and even give them room to slash tariff.

The state-run telecom operator has also decided to ramp up its mobile braodband capacity up to two-folds in a month to 600 terrabytes. BSNL has also recently launched an unlimited 3G offer at Rs 1,099 , which offers unlimited 3G access to users for 30 days without any speed restrictions.

BSNL -- A TOTALLY SPOILT TELECOM OPERATOR. I HAD BROADBAND CONNECTION TEL NO. 231031 AREA CODE 06562 WENT DEAD IN DEC 2012 DUE TO CABLE DAMAGE AND TILL TODATE IT HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED INSPITE OF REPEATED REMINDERS. lt;br/gt;nOW BSNL DALTONGANJ SAYS VERY CLEARLY THAT IT CAN NEITHER GIVE A FRESH CONNECTION NOR RESTORE THE OLD CONNECTION BECAUSE THERE IS NO CABLE LAID DOWN NEAR MY HOUSE WHICH IS JUST 300 YARDS FROM THE OFFICE OF DISTRICT TELECOM ENGINEER DALTONGANJ. LAYING DOWN CABLE IS NOT HIS JOB. IS IT NOT A JOKE ?
