If you had a mobile phone in the late 90s or early 2000 era, chances are you spent a lot of time playing Snake on it. Now nearly two decades after the game was first launched, Snake is coming back to smartphones.
The creator of the 1997 game, Taneli Armanto has promised to add brand new visuals, sound effects and other features, reports DigitalTrends.
Snake Rewind will have new features like power-ups in the form of Fruit Magnet, Trailblazer and Score Multiplier, adds the report. Oh and since this is the smartphone era where games allow for in-app purchases, Snake Rewind will also have one such ‘fruit store’ for users.
The creators have put up a YouTube video giving a sneak peak into the upcoming Snake Rewind game. Best part, each level has multiple fruits for Snake to collect.
The original game allowed only one fruit to be collected at a time represented by dots on the screen and the game got over if the snake touched its own tail or the surrounding wall.
In an age where Candy Crush requests have flooded our Facebook notifications, we’ll have to wait and wait how Snake Rewind does.
