ICC World Twenty20 India 2016

The ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 is a one-stop app with official rights to beam match highlights. With the app on your smartphone, you can get minute-by-minute details of the tournament with schedules, live scores, updates, highlights and more.
This one does not have live-streaming but the app keeps giving live updates on the homepage itself. It has a fan poll that tends to keep users involved and gives you updates on a timeline to walk you through all the important highlights. The ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 does feature a Video section, which is a compilation of interviews. There is a little drop-down on the top right of the homepage that lets you choose between Men’s and Women’s world cups. The app is a must-have for cricket fans.

hotstar

hotstar is one of the best apps to watch the cricket tournaments right now. Star India which owns hotstar is the official broadcaster for T20 world Cup and no wonder streaming on the app is super-smooth and videos play without much lags depending on your Internet connection. The highlights or popular videos appear right on the homepage with the Sports section offering much more. This one too has live cricket streaming and everything else that you need to know about the T20 World Cup.
Then, there’s World T20 Qualifiers tab, which again has fresh updates and special videos. We would recommend hotstar to everyone who wouldn’t want to miss a minute of action, even when they are not in front of a TV. The app lets users stream full-length episodes of TV series and movies in several languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali.

BCCI

The BCCI app is pretty easy to use and non-cluttered. The app’s live scores section on the homepage is quite similar to the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 app. The BCCI app shows schedule to upcoming matches, with their date and timing that one can add to their calendar. There’s latest videos and most-watched under the Videos tab mostly feature interviews and highlights. Additionally, there’s a Photos tab, which has quite a few photos galleries, one can browse through.
The most useful section, apart from the Live one is News. a collection of all the recent updates. While Team India contains brief profiles of Indian cricketers, one can click on the Venues tab to find out more about the stadiums.
Interestingly, there’s also a Social tab, that unfortunately did not work for us, even after downloading the apps of multiple devices and trying. We feel that BCCI app offers a lot more in terms of News feed, allowing match dates to add to calendar, profiles of cricketers and more.
