Xiaomi Mi Mix will come with Microsoft’s voice-assistant Cortana pre-installed, reveals a report in mspoweruser. The Chinese smartphone maker had tied up with Microsoft in June to pre-install Microsoft’s Office suite of apps and Skype on its devices. “And now, it looks like the company is also pre-installing Cortana on its devices such as the bezel-less Mi Mix,” the report adds. However, Xiaomi is not the first Android OEM to have partnered with Microsoft to bring Cortana to its smartphones. Back in 2015, OnePlus teamed up with Microsoft to offer Cortana to Cyanogen users via over-the-air update.

Microsoft has brought about some significant changes to Cortana with its Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Cortana is now more accessible even from the lockscreen. With the new update, Windows 10 users can ask Cortana to play music or set reminder directly from the lockscreen.

Xiaomi launched its edge-less design concept smartphone – Mi Mix – last month. And rumours of a new 5.5-inch display variant of the smartphone were doing rounds online. However, latest reports deny the existence of such a device. MyDrivers quoted an official source from Xiaomi who said there’s no such product as Mi Mix Nano, putting an end to all rumours around the device.

A separate report in GizmoChina has revealed images of the Mi Mix in white colour variant. The current Mi Mix has a 6.4-inch (2040 x 1080 pixels resolution) IPS LCD display with a 91.3 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and was launched in just a black version. The edge-to-edge device comes with a custom 17:9 aspect ratio. A new colour variant could mean Xiaomi is looking to boost the sale of Mi Mix by giving users more colour choices.
