Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will in all likelihood launch on October 25, according to latest leaks. Earlier rumours have given out specifications of the device and leaked pictures suggest Mi Note 2 will have ultra-thin display as well as edge-to-edge display. Now, Android Pure has put out a slide, which is said to be from Mi Note 2’s launch presentation, revealing its price. In the slide, Mi Note 2 is said to cost 5699 yuan (Rs 56,335). And assuming this is really the slide from Mi Note 2’s launch presentation, this will clearly be Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphone till date.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may be days away from launch but rumours surrounding the smartphone have been doing rounds for quite sometime now. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is said to sport a dual-rear camera setup, which was first spotted in a teaser trailer for the smartphone by Playfuldroid. Other specifications of the device include and feature a 5.5-inch OLED display, and Snapdragon 821 processor. It is expected to launch in two storage variants – 6GB RAM+ 64GB ROM and 8GB RAM+256GB ROM.
Rumours also claim that Mi Note 2 will have two variants based on display – one with dual curved screen and another with a flat screen. The flat screen variant will get a full HD resolution, while the dual curved display will feature a Quad-HD resolution. Xiaomi’s new smartphone is said to support QuickCharge 3.0 technology. It will sport a metal unibody design, and Xiaomi is also expected to drop the external memory support for the device.
It is unclear if Xiaomi plans to bring the Mi Note 2 to India as the company does not usually bring high-end smartphones to the Indian market. However, budget smartphones have done well for the company in India. According to Xiaomi, Redmi Note 3 is company’s bestselling smartphone in the country and it has sold about 2.5 million units of the same since its launch here. According to a recent report, Xiaomi has claimed to sell 1 million smartphones in 18 days in India. Xiaomi’s budget series include Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3s, and Redmi 3S Prime.
