Vivo Y21L with 4.5-inch display, Android Lollipop launched at Rs 7,490

Vivo Y21L features a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera with Palm Capture and Voice Capture features.

Vivo has launched its 4G VoLTE enabled Vivo Y21L at Rs 7,490. The smartphone is an addition to Vivo’s Y series and a successor to Y21. Vivo Y21L is available starting today in white and grey colour variants.

Vivo Y21L features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The device runs Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. There’s 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera with Palm Capture and Voice Capture features. Palm Capture allows users to click photos simply by showing their palm. Users can say ‘cheese’ to click pictures using Voice Capture.

Vivo Y21L comes with Smart Wake and Smart Click features. Smart Click enables users to bring up customised apps simply by holding on to volume control key. Smart Wake feature allows users to swipe an ‘F’ on a dark screen to launch Facebook, ‘E’ for browser and ‘M’ to play music.

Vivo Mobile India, in December, commenced manufacturing smartphones in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The manufacturing unit will assemble all Vivo smartphones currently available in India. Vivo plans to turn its assembly unit completely managed by Indian skilled labours soon.
