Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin, or the old Berlin radio exhibition which is now popular as IFA, will kick off this week with a host of large tech companies trying to showcase their best wares for the coming months.
Of late, IFA has become the showstopper of this tech show. The Korean tech giant which rules smartphones markets across most of the world with an iron grip is likely to announce its next Note device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at its unpacked event on Wednesday. The next generation of its smartwatch, the Gear S, is also likely to be showcased at the event.
While Samsung has put out teachers for the Note 4, we won’t hazard a guess on what new features the phone will hold. Yes, there is every possibility that Samsung will push the envelope on the specs game with its new launch as the Note devices has traditionally been the benchmark when it comes to RAM and processors in smartphones.
Its Korean rival LG is rumoured to be working on a Note rival, called the LG G3 Stylus. It is also expected to announce its new Android Wear smartwatches here.
Microsoft Devices is expected to push the camera on its Lumia range with new Lumia 830 and Lumia 730 devices. They could also announce a new entry level phone.
Sony is pretty certain to come up with its new Zperia Z3 range of smartphones and tablets. Its smartband could also see an update.
Without doubt the coming week is going to be exciting for those who get a kick out of technology. We are in Berlin to keep you posted.
