Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime likely to launch in India on September 19

Samsung has started sending media invites for its next Galaxy J series device launch. The invite reads ‘Get Ready for the Prime Time’ hinting at the launch of J7 Prime.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime was spotted on company’s Vietnam site on September 1. Samsung had silently launched the smartphone in Vietnam for VND 62,90,000 (approximately Rs 19,000). The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by an octa-core processor.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is also expandable storage option. Samsung is also offering 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture. The front camera is an 8MP shooter with support for multiple modes like beauty mode, wide-angle selfie and an option to swipe around your selfies with hand movements.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and was announced in Vietnam in Black and Gold colour variants. Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime also offers a rear fingerprint scanner and connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi and GPS.

Earlier in the day, Samsung announced Galaxy A9 Pro with 5,000mAh battery and 6.0-inch display at Rs 32,490. The smartphone will go on sale starting from September 26.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features metal and glass design like other A series smartphones. The smartphone also features a 16MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP secondary camera.

Motorola has already confirmed the launch of its budget handset, Moto e3 Power in India on September 19. Samsung with its early start could steal the thunder from Lenovo’s big launch.
