Samsung is capitalising on its already strong portfolio of smartphone offering with Galaxy C series. The just announced Galaxy C series brings company’s much liked metal unibody design and fingerprint scanner.
For Samsung, Galaxy C line-up is an all new series and its first two phones are C5 and C7. The phones are only available in China but should reach our shores soon considering Korean company’s stronghold in the budget smartphone space.
Samsung Galaxy C5 is the smaller of the two smartphones featuring unibody metal chassy and a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
On the camera front, Samsung Galaxy C5 gets a 16MP rear shooter and an 8MP selfie shooter. The smartphone gets a fingerprint scanner and will be available in gold, rose gold (or pink, whatever you call it), grey and silver colour options.
Samsung Galaxy C7 is basically a higher-specced version of Galaxy C5. The difference is in the faster 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC and bigger 5.7-inch full HD SAMOLED display. Samsung Galaxy C7 comes with same 16MP/8MP camera setup, 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
Both the smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is priced at around $330 and $396 respectively.
