Samsung has officially announced the launch of Galaxy A9 Pro in India at Rs 32,490. The smartphone will be available in retail stores starting from September 26.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro follows on the footsteps of 2016 Galaxy A series with metal and glass design. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is a dual-SIM smartphone that focuses on bigger battery and it directly competes with similar offerings from Chinese smartphone vendors. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is just 7.9mm thick, features a narrow bezel of 2.7mm and weighs around 210 grams.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Full HD display, protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 should be ideal for watching videos on the go. Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is also expandable storage up to 256GB via memory card slot.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and optical image stabilisation. The front camera is an 8MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and wide-angle support. The camera also adds support for HDR, palm selfie and face beautification.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro also offers fingerprint scanner, fast charging (which we hope will not blow up your phone), Knox security and screen mirroring among many options. On the connectivity front, there is WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, ANT+, USB 2.0 and NFC.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s TouchWiz UI on top. The smartphone is backed by 5,000mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro will be available in Gold, Black and White colour variants.
