Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is set to make an entry in to the Indian smartphone market. Launched last month in South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) bears a price tag of KRW 649,000 ($583) in the country. Now, Galaxy A8’s price has been spotted on Indian import-export website Zauba. However, the price per unit mentioned for India on Zauba is just Rs 13,635 as opposed to a significantly higher Rs 39,000 approx in South Korea. Thus, the information on Zauba cannot be completely trusted. The Zauba listing shows the Galaxy A8 (SM-A810F) being shipped from South Korea to Delhi. Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is the successor of Galaxy A8 launched in India launched last year at Rs 32,500.
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) features a 5.7 inch full HD super AMOLED screen with Samsung’s Always-on display. It has a metal unibody and is 7.2 mm thick. The Galaxy A8 is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) sports a 16MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera. The device weighs 182 grams. The Galaxy A8 (2016) runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Grace UI. The home button in A8 doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is a dual SIM device that supports two nano SIM cards. It supports 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and FM. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer and Proximity.
