Panasonic has announced a new budget smartphone with Android Marshmallow. Panasonic T44 lite is a Snapdeal exclusive smartphone priced at Rs 3,199.

Panasonic has been expanding its smartphone offerings in India lately and the company is aggressively targeting the sub Rs 15,000 price range. Panasonic T44 lite is the company’s cheapest smartphone offering aimed at value device buyers in the Tier II and Tier III market.

Panasonic T44 lite features a 4-inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The dual SIM smartphone is powered by a quad core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 8GB storage. Panasonic T44 lite also offers expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

T44 lite is the perfect choice for the youth who want a trendy phone loaded with future proof features and yet not being heavy on the pocket,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India.

On the camera front, Panasonic T44 lite sports a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera. The rear camera on Panasonic T44 lite comes with Flash and supports burst mode, just shut mode and panaroma. Panasonic T44 lite is 9.65mm thick and weighs 135 grams. The smartphone supports 3G and is backed by a 2,400mAh battery.

Panasonic T44 lite will be available in its first preview sale on August 1 exclusively on Snapdeal. The smartphone will be available in rose gold, gold and blue colour variants.
