Oppo has launched its R7 Plus and R7 Lite, featuring a full metal unibody design, in India at Rs 29,990 and Rs 17,990 respectively.
The Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D Arc-Edge screen. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB.

The Oppo R7 Lite comes with 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D Arc-Edge screen. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage to keep things smooth.
Oppo says their approach with Indian market is to bring out smartphones based on local insights using global resources. Oppo currently commands a market share of over 11 percent in Indonesia and over 8 percent in China. While India specific numbers were not revealed, Oppo accepts that its a new comer for Indian consumers and is looking to expand its footprints rather than concentrating on numbers.
“India is one of the most important part of our expansion plans around the world and we have launched devices in India immediately post global launches to offer the best products in the Indian market. With R7 Plus and Lite, we aim to capture a decent market share and expect more than 200% growth in sales by end of this year,” said Mike Wang, CEO, Oppo Mobiles.
The Oppo R7 Plus and R7 Lite handsets sport a 13MP primary camera and 8MP secondary camera. The dual-SIM 4G smartphones feature Magnesium alloy casing and Oppo’s proprietary VOOC flash charge system.
The Oppo R7 Plus features a rear fingerprint scanner and laser autofocus. The OPPO R7 Plus will be available starting September 25 while R7 Lite will be available from September 10 from Oppo stores and retail outlets. The phones run Color OS based on Android Lollipop.
