OnePlus 3T is as good as official, with extremely reliance tipster Evan Blass tweeting out the expected price of the new phone. According to Blass the new variant of the OnePlus 3 will be priced $80 above the retail price of the current model ($399), which comes to about $479 (approx Rs 32,000). The OnePlus 3T is expected to be a slight upgrade over the current generation and is expected to be unveiled sometime in November.
The OnePlus 3T is expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 821 processor, and running Android’s latest 7.0 Nougat update out of the box. OnePlus had announced some time ago that it will be focusing on launching just one flagship device a year, but the OnePlus 3T really isn’t a new flagship; instead its just a mid life upgrade of sorts.
An earlier report from GizmoChina suggested that OnePlus plans to incorporate an LCD display with the new phone thanks to the huge backlog the company is facing due to AMOLED display shortages. However, this rumour was quashed by OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei recently when he tweeted out that the company would continue using ‘Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future’.
