OnePlus 3 will be launching on June 14 via a VR launch, and the smartphone will come in six variants, based on a product listing on OppoMart, which has revealed the specs and versions of the upcoming flagship.
Three versions will come with 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB, 64GB, and 128 GB storage space, while there will also be a 6GB RAM version with the same 32GB, 64GB, 128GB storage space options. The pricing is listed as $369 which comes to Rs 24,702, and that’s close to how OnePlus has always priced its flagship devices.
Previously OnePlus had kept the storage space limited at 16GB and 64GB options, but it looks like this time the company is revamping its flagship line by adding more storage options. Plus it would appear that OnePlus is also joining the trend of 6GB RAM smartphones such as Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Vivo Xplay 5 Elite, Meizu Pro 6, etc.
Other specs revealed in the listing are: 5.5-inch full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera plus a front fingerprint scanner along with Oxygen OS base on Android 6.0.
OnePlus 3 will launch globally on June 14 and will be invite free. “We’re releasing the OnePlus 3 invite-free, right from launch day. In addition, invites are gone forever from future OnePlus product launches,” said Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus in a blogpost.
Other leaks have indicated that the OnePlus 3 will ditch the iconic sandstone finish body seen in the previous two version, and instead have a metal unibody design, along with an AMOLED display.
We’ll have to wait and see how OnePlus 3 is priced in India and what variants are made available. So far the OnePlus series has always launched with Amazon India first.
