Lenovo Moto is rumoured to unveil the flagship Moto Z series at the Tech World Conference on June 9. Now, ahead of the launch, hellomotoHK has put out images of back covers or StyleMods on its Google + page.
According to rumours, Moto Z is likely to feature modular back plates and snap-on accessories. The StyleMods reveal the smartphone will have a large protruding rear camera module, placed at the centre.
According to the leaked images, the back covers will come in a number of different textures including leather, wood and nylon. Now, we know the Moto Z will be a semi-modular smartphone; and the MotoMods are likely to connect to 16 pin connectors seen at the back of these covers.
While LG G5 is a fully modular smartphone, Moto Z is expected to be semi-modular. Evan Blass, who runs @evleaks on Twitter, had earlier tweeted an image of a StyleMod that hints at a camera grip back with its own image sensor, flash, lens similar to a point and shoot camera.

One of the leaked modular case hints at a kickstand while the other could bring hi-res audio support.
The Verge reports the company could also offer a modular back plate with a Pico projector built-in. While there isn’t much detail about the upcoming Moto Z smartphone, we don’t have to wait too long for the official launch.
