Festive sales have already started on most shopping websites. From Amazon to Flipkart, and Snapdeal as well as Shopclues – the sites are offering heavy discounts on a range of products including smartphones and other gadgets. While Amazon will have ‘Great Indian Festival’ running on its site till October 5; Snapdeal’s ‘Unbox Diwali Sale’ will be live till October 6. Flipkart ‘Big Billion Days’ sale will go on till October 6 as well. However, early trends on Snapdeal have shown an increased interest in mobile phones with the platform selling over one lakh units of smartphones in the first 8 hours of the sale.
Top smartphone deals on Amazon include Moto G4 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Moto G4. The smartphones have received a price cut of up to Rs 2,000; making them a better buy. Then there’s Flipkart which is offering huge discounts of Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, LeEco Le Max2 and Moto X Play. But the fact that most of these smartphones are compatible with a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card, make them an even viable option. Reliance Jio SIM will give users an access to free, unlimited 4G data and voice-calls till December 31, 2016. Moto G4 was launched in India as an Amazon exclusive at Rs 12,499. The smartphone is now available for Rs 1,500 less on the website at Rs 10,999. Moto G4 was announced along side G4 Plus in June. The two smartphones are quite similar in terms of design and specifications except that G4 Plus comes with a bigger 16MP rear camera and fingerprint scanner.

Moto G4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 3,000 mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging. It runs the Android 6 OS and has a 13MP rear camera with 5MP front shooter. In our review, we noted, Moto G4 is a decent mid-range smartphone but, its competitors like Redmi Note 3, Le 2 and yes the Moto G4 Plus, appear to be more enticing. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Xiaomi claims Redmi Note 3 is one of the best-selling smartphones for the company on India. It has sold over 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 since its launch in India in March. The devices is now down from its original price of Rs 11,999 to Rs 10,999 on Amazon. It is available for the same price on Flipkart as well.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched in two storage options in India. The 16GB storage variant cost Rs 9,999 and 32GB option is priced at Rs 11,999. The USP of this budget smartphone is its huge 4,050 mAh battery. Other specifications include a 5.5-inch full HD display, metal unibody design, Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB space.
In our review, we said Redmi Note 3 it ticks all the right boxes. Battery, which can be a pain point at this price is not a problem and the phone has virtually no lag. The battery easily lasted for more than a day and a half on heavy usage during our review.
LeEco Le Max 2
LeEco Le Max2 is available on a huge discount on Flipkart. The devices, which was originally priced at Rs 22,999, has come down to Rs 17,999. It comes bundled with company’s Supertainment package that gives users an access to videos on demand services, live stream and music content online. Le Max2 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, and has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

Le Max has a 21MP rear camera with PDAF and dual-LED flash. The rear camera sensor comes with f/2.0 aperture, and supports optical image stabilisation. The front camera is an 8MP one capable of recording 1080p videos. Le Max2 has a 3100mAh battery. In our review, we said Le Max2 has some really strong points in its favour, and camera would be the first on this list. We noted Le Max2 is a great device if you want high-end specs, and don’t mind the free content that comes bundled with it.
Moto G4 Plus
Moto G4 Plus gets a discount of Rs 1,500 on Amazon, and the smartphone can now be bought at Rs 13,499 on the site. The Moto G4 Plus is a notch above Moto G4, which comes with a bigger rear camera and fingerprint scanner. Moto G4 Plus was launched in India in 2GB RAM+ 16GB storage option starting at Rs 13,499 and the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option at Rs 14,999. Other specifications include: a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Snapdragon 617 processor, and 5MP front camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In our review, we said the G3, G2 were all great phones and continue to be; Moto G4 Plus on the other hand improves on the camera bit, and quite drastically. Given the pricing, this camera is exceptional. There are plenty of people who look for a budget phone with a great camera, and Moto G4 Plus is the answer.
Samsung Galaxy On8
Samsung Galaxy On8 is exclusive to Flipkart, and is priced at Rs 14,900. The smartphone is the latest in Samsung’s budget On series and comes with company’s made for India features like Ultra data saving mode, S-Bike mode etc. It features a 5.5 inch full HD display. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 7580 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM, and 16GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). Samsung Galaxy On8 sports a 13MP primary camera with 5MP front shooter. The device is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery.
