Micromax has announced the addition of a new phone to its Spark series – the Canvas Spark 4G. Canvas Spark 4G is the company’s first smartphone in the Spark range to feature 4G LTE capability.
Canvas Spark 4G comes with a 5-inch IPS display (with Corning Gorilla Glass protection), and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB). The phone features a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP front shooter. It is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery.
Speaking on the occasion of launch of the phone, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax said, “The consumer response to the Spark series has been phenomenal. With the Canvas Spark 4G, we wish to drive the adoption of 4G amongst consumers and give them a competitive product. Consumer demand is constantly shifting towards devices offering multi-tasking capabilities, 24×7 data connectivity with increased video consumption and real-time mobility solutions. The 4G adoption amongst consumers has been phenomenal and we believe that the Canvas Spark with 4G VoLTE capabilities will delight the consumers.”
Micromax says that the Canvas Spark 4G comes with its own version of Android M, which is a steroid launcher. “The launcher provides a customized look & feel to the user, making it beyond just another android phone. The launcher is built with some intuitive capabilities and is designed to give the users a premium user experience,” the company said in a press statement.
Canvas Spark 4G has been exclusively launched on Snapdeal and will be priced at Rs 4,999.
