Meizu is set to host a launch event for m5 Note in China on November 30 and the company has already sent out invites for the same. Now, a set of new reports suggest the company will unveil Meizu X smartphone as well alongside m5 Note on November 30. Pictures of Meizu X have surfaced online, revealing ring flash around its rear camera. The smartphone has metal back, and there’s no fingerprint sensor or antenna. According to a report in Phoneradar, the Meizu X will be powered by Helio P20 chipset as opposed to widely rumoured Helio X30. The report insists, devices running Helio X30 processor will only be available in 2017.
Meizu m5 Note is said to come with a Helio chipset; the same chipset that the m5 Note was spotted running on in earlier benchmarks. Meizu m5 Note scored a 686 in single-core performance on Geekbench 4, and 2476 in multi-core score. The benchmark showed the phone to be running on an octa-core Mediatek MT6755M Helio P10 processor with Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the operating system.
The Antutu benchmark reveals the Meizu m5 Note will come with a Mali-T860 GPU along with the Helio 10 processor. It will feature a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) display. The phone packs 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Meizu m5 Note will feature a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP selfie shooter.
Meizu announced the m5 and Meizu Pro 6s earlier this month in China. Meizu m5 supports VoLTE and comes with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB ROM options. The 2GB RAM variant costs 699 Yuan (Rs 6,800 approx) and the 3GB RAM option comes at 899 Yuan (Rs 8,800 approx).
