Lenovo is all set to launch its new K6 series in India, which will be a successor to its K5 budget series. Lenovo India has sent out a teaser on its Twitter account saying “We know, you can’t get enough of the K series. Can you guess the name of the upcoming K? Hint: It’s got #KickassPower.” The tweet hints that Lenovo will be launching the K6 Power in India.
Lenovo had unveiled the K6 series at IFA 2016 in Berlin back in September, which includes the K6, K6 Note and the K6 Power. The K6 series is expected to feature the Vibe branding when it comes to India.
Lenovo K6 Power is the mid-level device in the series, placed between the K6 and the K6 Note. The device comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. It features 2GB/3GB RAM along with 16GB/32GB of storage respectively (expandable to 256GB via microSD).
The dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G LTE comes with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus, along with an 8MP front shooter. It is backed by a 4000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, and is fitted with a fingerprint sensor, gyro, proximity sensor, compass and an accelerometer. It is available in three colours; Silver, Gold and Dark Grey.
The last smartphone that Lenovo launched in India was the Phab 2 Plus earlier this month at Rs 14,999. Phab 2 Plus is the successor to the company’s Phab Plus smartphone that was launched in August last year. The device features a 6.4-inch Full HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MTK8783 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
