LeEco, the Chinese internet ecosystem company has announced the launch of its Le Pro 3 smartphone. The Le Pro 3 is the successor to Le 2 Pro, which was announced earlier this year in April.
LeEco Le Pro 3 has been rumoured since the launch of Le 2 and Le Max 2. The smartphone has been constantly spotted on benchmarking platform like Geekbench. LeEco Le Pro 3 joins a very rare club of smartphones currently being powered by Snapdragon 821. However, this is not the first Snapdragon 821 powered smartphone from LeEco. LeEco had previously launched Le Max 2 Pro with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 chipset.
Apart from Snapdragon 821, LeEco Le Pro 3 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. The display is set at maximum brightness of 500 nits and 80 per cent NTSC colour gamut. LeEco Le Pro 3 comes in two storage variants – 4GB RAM option with 32 or 64GB storage and 6GB RAM variant with 64GB or 128GB storage.
On the camera front, LeEco has added 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera to Le Pro 3. The smartphone’s primary camera features a 6P lens, f/2.0 aperture and support for 4K video recording.
LeEco Le Pro 3 features a design very similar to Le 2 and Le Max 2. There is still a rectangular fingerprint scanner below the camera module and unibody metal for the casing.
Le Pro 3, like Le 2 and Le Max 2, ditches the 3.5mm audio jack in favour of a USB-C based CDLA technology. The smartphone runs EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
LeEco Le Pro 3 has a battery capacity of 4,070mAh and supports two Nano SIM cards. The smartphone also offers host of connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11ac with WiFi direct and NFC. LeEco Le Pro 3 starts at 1,799 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,000) for the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB storage. Le Pro 3 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000).
