Karbonn and Taiwanese chipmaker Mediatek have joined hands to bring down the prices of high-end Octa-core and new Hexa core devices in India.
Karbonn Mobiles on Wednesday announced the launch of three new devices, two with MediaTek Octa core and another with Hexa core. These phones will also be the first by Indian manufacturers to run Android’s new Kit Kat version.
The Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus is the top end device of these three and has a MediaTek MT6592 1.7 GHz Octa core processor. It will have a FullHD screen and 16GB internal storage. The phone will cost Rs 17,990 which is at least Rs 2,000 cheaper than the Micromax Canvas Knight with Octa core. The phone has a 16MP camera, while the other two phones have a 13MP sensor.
The Karbonn Titanium Octane is the HD version of the phone and will have a cheaper Rs 14,490 price tag.
The Karbonn Titanium Hexa is priced at Rs 16,990 and will have a MT6591 1.5 GHz hexacore processor and FullHD screen.
