For HTC, Desire series relates to budget offerings and the company has already covered a lot of grounds in the budget category with its Desire 820 and other smartphones. Interestingly, with Desire 10, HTC will incline Desire range with the flagship HTC 10 device.
HTC Desire 10 was first revealed by noted Twitter user Evan Blass. In a series of tweets, he shared renders of the HTC Desire 10 Pro in Black and White colour variants with gold trimming and chamfered edges. HTC Desire 10 series is expected to arrive in two variants – HTC Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle soon. The devices will be based on flagship HTC 10 but likely to be more affordable.
In all likelihood, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will sport a solid colour matte finish, bordered by gold trims. The new renders tweeted by Blass reveal the HTC Desire 10 to feature a similar matte finish in black and white with metallic gold trims around the edges. Even though both devices look similar in the leaked renders, they will feature key differences in final handset designs.
According to rumours, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will feature a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The phone will reportedly feature a 13MP rear camera with a BSI sensor, coupled with a single LED flash. The front camera on the device will be 5MP. Both camera sensors will be able to support full HD and video recording in 1080p. HTC’s Boomsound technology will also be present in the Desire 10 Lifestyle. The phone will run on Android Marshmallow. The specifications on the HTC Desire 10 Pro however, are still unknown.
HTC Desire 10 did not do exceptionally well inspite of being a great smartphone. The smartphone was priced at Rs 52,990 at its launch. It is powered by a Qulacomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and features a 5.2-inch 2K display. The phone runs on 4GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage. The 12MP camera of the device did extremely well in our review, and delivered some absolutely stunning shots. The camera also performed well in low-light conditions.
