HTC has officially announced the launch of Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphones. The new mid-budget range is a refresh to company’s existing range which includes the Desire 830 and Desire 826.

With Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle, HTC is bringing some of the unique features introduced with flagship HTC 10 to the Desire range. The newly announced Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle offer stereo external speakers. HTC claims the new devices sound exactly like HTC 10.

HTC Desire 10 Pro, as the name implies, offers better specifications in comparison with Desire 10 Lifestyle. Both Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle offer a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of full HD 1080 and 720pixels respectively. HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset while the Pro gets MediaTek Helio P10 processor.

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is available in 2/3GB RAM option while Desire 10 Pro offers 3/4GB RAM. The internal storage is again a step up with Desire 10 Lifestyle getting 16/32GB flash against 32/64GB flash offered with Desire 10 Pro. Luckily, both the devices offer microSD card support.

Both HTC Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle are 4G LTE ready devices and have design very similar to HTC 10. HTC could not really push the boundaries with its flagship HTC 10 and is now trying to bring similar features to the mid-range category.

On the camera front, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle gets 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 lens and a 5MP front camera. HTC Desire 10 Pro offers 20MP rear camera with f/2.2 and 13MP front camera. The smartphones run Android 6.0 with Sense UI.

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle skips on fingerprint sensor while Desire 10 Pro gets capacitive fingerprint sensor. HTC has not announced the pricing for the device but expect them to be priced under the $300 category.
