Google Pixel, Pixel XL phones are up for pre-order on Flipkart from today, but it looks like not all the versions of the devices are available. Google Pixel is only available in the Quite Black colour option, while the Pixel XL is only available in 128GB storage with Quite Black colour. The colour Really Blue was not supposed to launch in India so that’s not surprising, but it looks like ‘Very Silver’ also won’t be an option for now. Google Pixel XL in 32GB version is not listed on the website either.

Google’s Pixel phones were launched on October 4, and India is one of the first batch of countries where the phones are being introduced. Google Pixel starts at Rs 57,000 for 32GB and Rs 66,000 for 128GB. Pixel XL is priced at Rs 67,000 for 32GB and Rs 76,000 for 128GB. Flipkart is offering Rs 27,000 on exchange, but we could not get the offer for a South Delhi address, although it looks like the option is live for the city of Mumbai.

Flipkart also has No Cost EMI and Interest based EMIs available for these phones, for those who are interested in these options. However the lack of colour options might be disappointing for some. Hopefully more options will come before the phone releases on October 24.

Google Pixel, Pixel XL have a 5-inch and 5.5-inch AMOLED displays with Full HD and Quad HD resolution respectively. Google Pixel phones run the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM. The storage options are 32GB and 128GB, and there’s no microSD card and this is a Single-SIM smartphone.

On the camera front, Google claims they have put the best smartphone camera in this Pixel phone, although neither device has OIS. Google is relying on EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) and its superior algorithms for better images in low-light conditions. It claims that since the camera is dependent on software it will improve over time.

Google Pixel, Pixel XL phones run the latest Android Nougat 7.1 OS and come with some exclusive features. The first is unlimited storage on Google Photos at full resolution for videos and photos. Users will have option to download these pictures again on their device as well.

The Smart Storage will alert Google Pixel users when they are running out of space and have not used some apps in a long time, and ask them if they wish to delete the same.
