Flipkart says it has sold a million units of Xiaomi Redmi 3S

Flipkart has sold one million units of Xiaomi Redmi 3S on its platform since its launch in August in India. The e-commerce site announced the same in a tweet and launched its #1MillionRedmi3SOnFlipkart contest on Twitter. The contest gives two users a chance to win EGVs worth Rs 10,000 each. It will start at 4 pm on November 23 and ends 11:59 pm. To participate in the contest, users will need to retweet all Flipkart’s contest-related tweets and put up reasons why they love Redmi 3S with hashtag #1MillionRedmi3SOnFlipkart on Twitter. Winners will be announced on November 25.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S was initially available via flash sale on Flipkart and Mi.com before it finally went on open sale. Xiaomi Redmi 3S is the stripped down version of company’s Redmi 3S Prime. Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is priced at Rs 8,999 and Redmi 3S comes at Rs 6,999. The USP of both the smartphones is their big battery size, which easily lasts for up to 2 days.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S has a metal unibody design with a curved back. It features a 5-inch HD display and runs MIUI 7 with Android 6 Marshmallow. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage expandable to 128GB via microSD slot. There’s 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. It is backed by 4,100 mAh battery and is available in gold, silver and grey colour variants.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime has 3GB RAM+32GB storage, and fingerprint scanner on the back. The rest of the specifications are the same as Redmi 3S. Redmi 3S /Redmi 3S Prime are Made in India phones and support 4G VoLTE.
