For all those Apple lovers out there who are interested in the iPhone 7 Plus might find it difficult get their hands on the device right now via online platforms. Even while the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 is available across all e-commerce platforms, the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus appears to be out of stock everywhere. The iPhone 7 Plus remains unavailable on Infibeam and Flipkart, which are the official online retailer for the iPhone 7 range. Apple Prime users can find only the 128GB version of the iPhone 7 Plus (Gold) in stock, but can buy only one.

Apple recently said that they had been caught off guard considering the interest people have shown in the larger iPhone 7 Plus, and their miscalculation of the popularity of the phone will hit the company’s profits during the holiday season. Demand was strong “particularly on the iPhone 7 Plus versus our forecast going into the product launch,” Cook said. The demand for the iPhone 7 Plus is so high that Apple cannot keep up with the deliveries. High demand colours like the new ‘Jet Black’ was already hard to get hands on in any of the variants.

We called up a couple of Apple offline stores in the city, with all of them saying that the iPhone 7 Plus is not available and that they have no idea when the phone will be coming back in stock.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus features the company’s new dual-rear camera setup that couples a wide angle 12MP lens along with a 56mm telephoto lens, which allows for upto 2X optical zoom. The camera on the phone allows the user to take ‘bokeh’ shots, and now also features a portrait mode.

Pricing for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus starts at Rs 72,000 for the base 32GB variant. The price successively increases to Rs 82,000 and Rs 92,000 for the 128GB and 256GB storage variants respectively.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The phone features Apple’s newest quad-core A10 Fusion chip and runs on 3GB RAM. The phone comes in three storage variants – 32GB/128GB/256GB. It is backed by a 2900 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery and comes with IP67 water and dust resistant rating.
