Apple has reintroduced the iPhone 6 in India. The iPhone 6 (32GB) in Space Grey colour option is now available on Amazon India at Rs 28,999, instead of Rs 30,700. Additionally users can get up to Rs 10,000 off on exchange offer. However, the exchange offer is only limited to certain regions. Apple iPhone 6 is being sold via third-party seller ‘E-Mobiles’ and is listed as ‘Fulfilled by Amazon’ product. The smartphone comes with 1-year manufacturer warranty for the devices as well as in-box accessories and batteries. The offer ends March 7.
Apple is not selling the iPhone 6 in the US, UK, Japan, Australia, etc. Evidently, Apple is keen to sell the iPhone 6 in a country like India which is perhaps the fastest growing smartphone market after China and the US. The iPhone 6 will give Apple a strong foothold in the Rs 25,000- Rs 30,000 price segment, where it can directly compete with the likes of OnePlus, Samsung and Vivo. Although Apple does offer the iPhone SE in the premium mid-end segment, the phone is too small for most people. With the iPhone 6, Apple can really attract more users into its ecosystem who are looking for a big screen experience. However, the iPhone 6 (32GB) won’t be available across all the channels. It appears that Apple will be selling the iPhone 6 through select partners, as in this case where the phone is available through Amazon.
There have been reports in the past that Apple will reintroduce the iPhone 6 in some territories. According to the report on 9to5mac, iPhone 6 in Gold colour option will launch on March 10 with Taiwan Mobile. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the iPhone 6 (32GB) to be made available in other countries (including Taiwan) later this week. While we still don’t how many countries will get the iPhone 6 (32GB), one can rest assured that Amazon is indeed selling the genuine iPhone.
Apple iPhone 6 was announced along side the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014. Sure, this is almost a two year old model but the iPhone 6 series has an 8MP rear camera, which is still one of the best in the market. Apple iPhone 6 (16GB) Space Grey colour variant, on the other hand, is listed at Rs 30,399 on Amazon. Apple iPhone 6 (32GB) at Rs 28,999 is a pretty good deal given users are getting more storage space at a significantly lesser price.
Just to recap, Apple iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and has a solid feel to it. In our review we said the A8 processor in iPhone 6 is much faster than the ones on its predecessors. Apps launch really fast and you can switch between them seamlessly. Plus, the iPhone model is likely to get upgraded to iOS 11. Sure, iPhone 6 doesn’t have 3D Touch as its successors, but users will have to shell out a bit more money to get the feature. Apple iPhone 6S (32GB) is listed at Rs 40,999 on Amazon, while the iPhone 6S Plus (16GB) is around Rs 44,000.
