Battlefield 4 players offered free DLC expansion packs until September 19

EA has been giving a boost to their Battlefield titles (Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline) across PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 by offering free DLC (downloadable content) expansions. Now, every DLC expansion for Battlefield 4 is free for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One between September 14 untill September 19. These free DLCs comes just weeks before the launch of the next big title in the series – Battlefield 1.

“Battlefield 1 is coming next month, and we’re celebrating by keeping the action going in Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. For the past few months we’ve been giving away previously released expansion packs for both games to anyone playing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Origin for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. But the Road to Battlefield 1 isn’t over yet,” said the Battlefield website.

Battlefield 4 was launched in 2013, and has since come out with five DLC expansions; Naval Strike, Final Stand, Second Assault, China Rising and Dragon’s Teeth. Each DLC expansion pack normally retails at around $15 (Rs 1,000) each. Community Operations, Legacy Operation and Night Operations DLCs are still available for free to download.

EA is gearing up to Battlefield 1’s launch on October 21. The game is based on World War 1 and will launched for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game was open for beta testing between August 31 and September 8, 2016. According to Game Spot, the trailer for the game is the most like trailer on YouTube with two million likes.

Microsoft is also offering an Xbox One S Battlefield 1 bundle with a special ‘military green’ coloured console with a matching controller.
