Videocon d2h will launch HD Smart Set top Box that lets users to browse Internet on TV.

Videocon d2h has announced its HD Smart Set top Box that lets users to browse Internet on TV. The HD Smart Set top box will enable users to access content from Twitter, Facebook, Daily Motion, video on demand sites, ott apps, news, weather etc through apps.

The Videocon d2h Smart STB supports external recording by pluging in one’s own external storage device. Users can record up to 1900 hrs of content on a 1000GB drive. Videocon has introduced the STB as part a of Internet of Things (IoT). It also enables broadband connection to browse Internet on mobile through WiFi.

“We aim to empower people with our connected set top boxes. Our HD Smart Set Top Box offers exceptional features like internet based apps, USB recording, HD quality viewing and reverse path which enable customers to create a unique viewing experience and also stay connected,” Anil Khera, CEO Videocon d2h said.

Videocon d2h offers 525 channels and active services like Smart English and Smart Games. The other active services include d2h Hollywood HD, d2h music, d2h spice, d2h cinema in both Standard Definition and HD, etc.
