It won’t be long before you will see Ultra HD or 4K resolution screens on all types of devices. For now, they are primarily on televisions, and very expensive televisions at that. The first laptop with a 4K screen was launched in India on Tuesday by Toshiba. The best thing about the Toshiba Satellite P50t-B Y3110 is the fact that this high-end laptop, with the 3840x2160p screen comes for Rs 86,000.
Toshiba also launched a complete range of laptop from the very affordable L series with prices as low as Rs 25,785 to the top of the range Tecra W50 professional workstation priced over Rs 1,60,000.
However, the most interesting device is the Satellite P50t-B Y3110 which along with the 4K screen comes with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 processor with 8GB RAM, Windows 8.1, 1 TB storage and a harmann/kardon speakers with DTS.
The Satellite S40-B X3110, meanwhile, might appeal to those on a tighter budget. This device comes with a 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor yoked with 4GB RAM and 1TB storage. This notebook is priced at Rs 50,790.
There is also a powerful hybrid, the Protege Z10t Ultrabook, which is powered by a Intel Core processor despite having the ability to tear away from the keyboard and becoming a tablet. This device comes with enterprise grade Intel vPro security features and is priced upwards of Rs 50,000 depending on the configuration.
