Sony FDR-X3000 camera with image stabilisation and support for full 4K video recording has been launched. The camera comes with Action Cam design and is said to reduce shake with its balanced Optical SteadyShot technology. There’s 7.20 mm Exmor R CMOS sensor to shoot in the dark and BIONZ X image processor that helps in recording moves up to 4K at 100 Mbps. It has an f/2.8 aperture.
Sony FDR-X3000 can be used to create 4K time-lapse movies by shooting a series of stills of a scene over a period of time. These scenes can then be edited with Action Cam Movie Creator6 to make a 4K Time-lapse movie. Action Cam App7 is capable of creating time-lapse movie in Full HD.
Sony FDR-X3000 is waterproof up to 60 meter, shockproof and dustproof as well. It comes with adjustable FOV and zooming. There’s memory card slot, micro HDMI output, multi/micro USB terminal and stereo jack. The camera is equipped with a ZEISS Tessar lens. The dimensions of the camera are 29.4 x 47.0 x 83.0 mm.
Sony FDR-X3000 supports WiFi and GPS. It comes with a Live-View Remote that enables turning on/off the power and control shooting settings. It is available in two models – FDR-X3000R and FDR-X3000. Sony FDR-X3000R comes bundled with Live-View Remote Kit and FDR-X3000 has a waterproof case. Both the models are listed for $399.9 (Rs 26,000 approx) on the company’s website. The device will be available soon. However, Sony has not given out a specific date for its availability. Additional accessories include Finger Grip and MC Protector.
