MapmyIndia has launched Rover, a vehicle safety solution with house-level data. The product allows users to track their vehicles — they can use mobile and web browsers to see where their vehicles are. MapMyIndia says a complement of features keep Rover functional even if the vehicle has been disabled. An internal battery back-up has been provided to keep it operational when the engine has been turned off. The product is water- and dust-proof and equipped with an internal antenna. You can also set a geo-fence, which means you will get an alert in case the vehicle leaves a pre-defined area.

Lenovo launched IdeaPad Flex 10, a Windows laptop with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The screen can be rotated 300 degrees, which means you can use it as a laptop and a tablet. At 1.2 kg, the Flex 10 may be too heavy for a tablet but quite light for a laptop. Lenovo says its thickness is 0.68 inches. It comes with an ergonomic keyboard. The device has 2 GB RAM and a range of Intel processors and up to 500 GB storage. Connectivity options include USB 3 and USB 2 ports, apart from an HDMI out port. Lenovo says the battery life of this laptop is up to four hours.

Mobiado, a manufacturer of luxury phones, launched a new device – Classic 712 GCB Rose in India. The phone has been priced at Rs 4,72,410. Founded in 2004 in Canada, Mobiado claims to be the world’s first mobile maker to use sapphire crystal buttons. The body of the Classic 712 GCB Rose is created from 204.5 carats of sapphire crystals and 18 carat gold. It has a hidden sliding battery cover mechanism with a battery cover “made entirely from one piece of sapphire crystal”. It has sapphire crystal buttons hand painted with 18 carat gold.The phone is unlocked and will work with any GSM network.
