GoPro Hero 5 Black, Hero 5 Session cameras in India; start at Rs 29,500

GoPro announced availability of Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session cameras across India.

GoPro announced the availability of Hero 5 action cameras in India. Flipkart and Reliance Digital stores will receive the GoPro Hero 5 Black, Hero 5 Session cameras along with existing Hero Session. GoPro’s latest cameras will also be available in other offline retail stores in India.

Key features of the new Hero 5 cameras include auto upload of photos and videos to GoPro Plus. GoPro Plus is a cloud subscription service that allows users to access, edit, and share content with either a mobile phone or computer. GoPro Hero 5 series is waterproof up to 33 feet and come with voice control, image stabilisation, simplified controls and improved battery life. The new cameras can also capture images and videos in a non-fish eye perspective as well as the wide-angle view.

Hero 5 Black is priced at Rs 38,000. Features include a 2-inch touch display with simplified controls, upto 4k video-recording at 30 frames per second. Hero 5 Black is capable of shooting images at 12 MP resolution. The new camera is compatible with Existing GoPro Mounts, supports Stereo Audio Recording and Advanced Wind Noise Reduction. The camera also supports Professional-Grade Electronic Video Stabilization (EIS).

Hero 5 Black has one button control and is waterproof up to 33 feet. It can shoot RAW images, WDR photo modes, GPS and wide angle video/photo with linear view setting.

Hero 5 Session camera is priced Rs 29,500. Hero 5 Session has features similar to Hero 5 Black aside from 10 MP photos. It also lacks the 2-inch Touch display and support for RAW images, WDR, and GPS.
