Bragi, the company behind first truly wireless earbuds, Dash has announced its latest truly wireless earbuds. The new earbuds are still truly wireless but they are nearly 50 per cent cheaper.
Bragi, the company behind first truly wireless earbuds has announced a new set of wireless earbuds that follow on the design principles set by Dash. Bragi raised nearly $3.3 million on its Kickstarter project to develop Dash. Dash was an innovative concept combining earbuds and fitness tracker into a very tiny and independent package. With the Headphone, Bragi is setting a new standard for wireless earbuds.
Bragi’s ‘The Headphone’ can take on make phone calls and even activate voice assistants like Google Now or Siri. The Headphone can be used for streaming music and supports Dash’s audio-pass through feature. With audio-pass through, users can hear the outside world right into headphones.
In comparison with Dash, Bragi’s The Headphone skips touch controls in favour of physical buttons and also drops fitness tracking. Another difference is that the Headphone’s carrying case doesn’t charge the headphones. The Headphone’s battery last six hours on a single charge and features latest bluetooth standards promising better connection.
The biggest advantage with the Headphone right now is its truly wireless ability and that significantly cheap price tag. Hearables are proving to be the next big thing with reports also indicating Apple entering the segment. Samsung’s truly wireless earbud, Gear IconX is the latest set of wireless earbud to be available globally.
With Bragi making its wireless earbud cheaper, the company has set a stage for more such devices to follow up with great portability, sound and yes, cheaper price tag.
