Yesterday night I start to feel more and more pain. I did an MRI…the results are not positive…it’s not broken, but if I keep playing it’s going to be broken the next couple of days”

“That’s part of the life, part of my career. I’m going to keep going hard to recover as quick as possible. We’re going to work hard to be ready for Wimbledon. Every day it’s worse. I cannot play with my forehand.”

“This is probably the toughest press conference i’ve had to make in my career. No surgery needed now, but if he kept playing that could be necessary. Now is a tough moment but it’s not the end. I feel the right motivation and energy to be back at Roland Garros next couple of years. Only thing I can say: bad luck and that’s part of our lives. Nine times I have won…this is a tough moment, not death”
