Goldberg’s return to the WWE ring after 12 years was hyped up in the past month and it should have been for he was taking on none other than Brock Lesnar who had manhandled Randy Orton for fun at SummerSlam and left the latter a bloody mess. But what ensued at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario proved to be a mauling but this time, Lesnar was at the receiving end of the beating.
It took Goldberg less than two minutes to wrap up the “contest” or a minute and 24 seconds to be precise with two Spears and a Jackhammer getting the job done. The only time The Beast Incarnate got a hand on Goldberg was to push the WWE Hall of Famer on to the turnbuckle which seemed to do more harm than good. The gesture only angered Goldberg and he replied in kind with a brutal push that left Lesnar on to the mat.
With his wife and son watching him from the ringside for the very first time, Goldberg put an end to all the jibes and insults aimed at his family over the past week by Brock and his advocate Paul Heyman.
The win was made even sweeter as the crowd chanted his name and Goldberg celebrated the 2-0 record against Lesnar by kissing his wife and bringing his son inside the ring for a picture-perfect moment.

Goldberg had maintained that this would be his last match. But with the ease of win, there are some murmurs of a rematch with Lesnar at Wrestlemania or better yet, a contest with yet another superstar?
